April 16, 2026
Heller Museum, New York City
Sponsored by Hebrew Union College and The Elie Wiesel Foundation, the exhibition highlights memory, heritage, and resilience—values central to the mission of The Elie Wiesel Foundation. Today, The Foundation continues the legacy of Elie and Marion Wiesel supporting moral leadership and empowering individuals whose work embodies compassion, tolerance, and shared humanity.
The Mark Podwal Prize was established as a tribute to one of America’s most celebrated Jewish artists, Mark Podwal, and Nobel Laureate, Elie Wiesel, encouraging artistic responses to important themes in Jewish life and culture. We thank the jury, the more than 300 artists who submitted their work, and the prize-winning participants for making the event both thoughtful and inspiring.
Please make sure to visit this very special exhibition at HUC’s Heller Museum, located at 1 West Fourth Street. The exhibition will be open until June 25th, 2026.
